Hi, I’m Carley.
I’m the founder and creative behind North & Lessley—a creative communications studio built for people doing good work who need a little help making sure the world knows about it.
I’m a designer, writer, educator, and communications professional, but most days, what I really do is take a mess and make it make sense.

When I’m not rearranging typefaces by three pixels or rewriting a sentence for the fifteenth time because it’s almost right, you’ll probably find me with coffee in one hand and a book in the other.
I love books, notebooks, photography, being outside, quiet lakes, forests, daisies, and my black pug—who contributes very little creatively but maintains an impressive supervisory role.

Good writing should sound like a human wrote it. And good communication should make people feel something, understand something, or know what to do next.
